OPEN CALL for PhD positions
We invite online applications for the International Max Planck Research School “The Leipzig School of Human Origins” (IMPRS LSHO), an international Ph.D. program of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and the University of Leipzig from 1 October 2024 to 30 November 2024.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Registration
In order to apply to the IMPRS LSHO, please create your own user account (via the "Log in" button at the top of this website).
IMPORTANT: You will receive an email confirming your registration and informing you about the next step.
Application
Once you have created your account at the IMPRS LSHO career portal, you are ready to continue the application process. We recommend that you collect and prepare all necessary information before starting the application process. Once you have started the process, you do not have to continue it until the end as it is possible to save your data in between. Please do not forget to upload the following documents: a) Curriculum Vitae (CV) and motivation letter (max. 1 page), b) transcripts and degree documents, c) other documents that you consider important within the context of your application. After submitting the data, you will once again receive an email confirmation. Please allow up to 30 minutes to receive this email.
Recommendation Letters
We ask for two recommendation letters. Please insert in the application portal the details of two referees of your choice. They will be automatically invited to upload their recommendation letter. You and the referee will both receive an email confirming the successful upload of the recommendation letter.
After we have received two recommendation letters, you can finally submit your application. Please stay in close contact with your referees to ensure that BOTH letters of recommendation have been submitted before the deadline and with enough time left for you to submit your online application.
